Lumivra Player plays video files and stream addresses that you choose. It does not provide a movie or television catalog, sell access to streaming content, or require you to create an account.
Files and information used on your device
When you permit access to your videos or choose a file through Android's file picker, the app reads that media to display your library and play it. It can read file names, locations or document identifiers, sizes, durations, dimensions, and related playback metadata. If you choose an external subtitle file, the app reads it to display captions.
The app stores library and imported-file references, cached file metadata, favorites, saved stream addresses and titles, playback history and positions, the current playback queue and its external subtitle references, and your playback/display preferences in its private storage on your device. These records support features such as returning to a video and finding saved items. A saved address may include access tokens or credentials if they are part of the address you enter. Video thumbnails are held in memory rather than saved as image files by the app.
The app does not upload your local videos, subtitles, library, favorites, or viewing history to the developer. It does not include advertising, analytics, or automatic crash-reporting SDKs, and it does not send this information to a developer-operated server. Android system services and your device manufacturer's services are governed by their own policies.
Network streams and document providers
When the app loads or resumes a network stream, it connects to the server at the address you supplied, servers to which it redirects, and servers referenced by the stream for video, audio, or subtitles. Those providers can receive the addresses requested from them, your network IP address, connection information, and any credentials or tokens contained in those requests. Loading a stream can make these requests while preparing playback, even before it starts playing. Their collection and retention practices are governed by their own policies. The developer does not control those servers.
HTTPS connections encrypt traffic in transit. HTTP streams are unencrypted, and RTSP streams may also use unencrypted connections. The app supports these addresses for compatibility with user-selected streams and local-network equipment; use HTTPS where available, especially for addresses containing private access information.
If you choose a document from a cloud or third-party provider in Android's file picker, that provider may download or access it under its own terms and privacy policy. Choosing such a provider does not upload the file to the Lumivra Player developer.
Permissions and playback controls
Video/file permissions allow the app to browse and play the videos you permit. On supported Android versions you may allow access to selected videos. You can also choose individual documents using the system file picker. Internet access is used for the streams you choose. Foreground-service and wake-lock capabilities keep user-started playback running when appropriate and expose Android media controls.
You can review or revoke permissions in Android's app settings. Revoking a file or video grant can make previously saved references unavailable. The app does not request camera, microphone, contacts, or location access.
Retention and deletion
Local app records remain until you remove them using the relevant app controls, clear the app's storage in Android settings, or uninstall the app. Clearing playback history removes history, saved playback positions, and the stored playback queue; saved library items, cached metadata, favorites, stream links, and preferences remain. Removing a saved stream removes it from the stream list; references in history, favorites, cached metadata, or the playback queue may remain. Clearing the app's storage or uninstalling removes its private local records. These actions do not delete the original videos or subtitle documents from your storage or third-party providers.
The app disables Android app backup for its private application data. Data kept by a stream provider, cloud document provider, operating system, or by a message you send to support is subject to that provider's or recipient's retention practices.
Support messages and changes
If you contact support, the recipient receives the information you choose to send, such as your email address and issue details, and uses it to respond to your request. Do not include private media, passwords, or signed stream addresses unless necessary for the issue and you intend to disclose them.
We may update this policy when the app's practices change. The effective date above identifies the current version. Any material change to data access or collection will be reflected in the app and this policy. Contact **[SUPPORT EMAIL]** for questions or requests about information you have sent directly to the developer.
